Patrick

Patrick is a graduate of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University where he received his bachelors and masters degrees in guitar performance and pedagogy under the tutelage of Julian Gray. He has performed at a wide variety of venues throughout the north east region. These venues include solo and chamber recitals at the Peabody Institute, the Guitar Foundation of America’s regional symposium, Cecil College’s Milburn Stone Theatre, the Port Deposit Heritage Corporation concert series, and at many churches, retirement homes, and hospitals. Notable performances include the 2010 Port Deposit Heritage Corporation Holiday Concert where Patrick performed with Donald Sutherland, world renowned organist and chair of the organ department at Peabody, and The 2009-2010 John E. Marlow Guitar Series where Patrick was a principal guitarist in the orchestra conducted by Julian Gray that performed Shingo Fujii’s Concerto de Los Angeles with William Kanengiser as soloist. His guitar duo was recently featured artists at the Lehigh Valley Classical Guitar Society’s Guitar Festival where they lectured on technique and arranging, and performed a concert.

While attending Peabody, Patrick was an active member of the Creative Access, a student run volunteer outreach performance
program. He site coordinated for the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Baltimore City Veterans Hospital where he performed monthly.

Sample Music

Classical Guitar Ceremonies Inc. provided music for several events this weekend. I always look forward to performing out in the tranquil setting of St.Michaels even if it is a bit further to reach as compared to the local DC/Baltimore/Annapolis area.

A lot of the facilities have a noise restriction clause in the event site contract/rules. Classical guitar is a nice option for those that may wish to have music - both popular and classical- at their wedding ceremony/reception but aren't allowed other forms of music that are "too loud" as deemed by the local ordinance.

I (Chris Dunn) hired Classical Guitar Ceremonies inc.'s Jazz Trio for my own wedding in Baltimore Maryland this June. There was an amazing concert classical guitarist for the ceremony HERE

The Jazz Trio took over for the cocktail hour/reception. I opted for Guitar, Bass and Drums combination- just the right feel and the guest loved it.

Eastern-Shore Maryland has become a very popular get-away wedding destination over the past several years. Just an hour from Washington DC and Baltimore and 30 minutes from Annapolis, it makes for a perfect water centric wedding location. Tall herring flying by, long golden fields of wheat and corn, and distant sailboats blurred on the horizon all add a special touch to this part of Maryland. (and Delaware)

The Oaks Waterfront Inn is a frequent performance location for the Classical Guitar Ceremonies team of classical guitarists. (information linked below) Wonderful staff, great location and beautiful scenery.
